Real Talk
Zechariah's king comes on a donkey. Not a warhorse. Meek. The chariot is banished. The warrior's bow is gone. And his dominion will reach from sea to sea - through the proclamation of peace, not through conquest.
That's not how power usually looks.
Jesus says: you have hidden these things from the wise and the learned and revealed them to little ones. Then: come to me all you who labor and are burdened and I will give you rest. Take my yoke - learn from me - I am meek and humble of heart - you will find rest. My yoke is easy. My burden is light.
Paul: if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live. The Spirit who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you. That's the resource.
One Prayer
Lord, I am laboring and burdened - here is the specific weight. Give me rest. Let me learn from you. Precious Blood of Jesus, save us. Amen.
Your Challenge
Name the specific burden you are carrying this week that is not the easy yoke. Bring it to the Lord specifically. Then exchange it: lay down the heavy one, take up the easy one. The exchange is an act of will before it is a feeling. Do it anyway.
You are not alone. Submit your intentions and they'll be carried to Holy Hour this Sunday.
